Child Supervision with Brandi Botelho!

Jan 12

Hello fellow fitness parentals! My name is Brandi Botelho and I am super excited for leading the childcare program at Undisputed Fitness! I am so thankful for this lucky chance to be a part of, not only, a community driven fitness program but also an all around FAMILY fitness program, while taking care of your little ones so you can get that special time in for yourself to accomplish your goals as an individual!

My husband, Ricky, and I have been married for 3 years. I have a 15 year old stepdaughter, Simone, a 3 year old daughter, Rylie, and a 14 month old son, Bryce.

As far as my connection with Undisputed, I was so lucky to be introduced to ufit after completing the birthfit series with Jennifer last March and I’ve been hooked ever since! I attend the 6 am classes on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s, and usually Saturday’s.  I attend those early mornings in part because I cannot depend on someone to commit to watch our kids so that I can get my workouts in any other times, but it’s also a great way to start my day so that I can be at my best for my family!

I have always been around children from a very young age. My first job in the ‘90’s was babysitting when I was about 11 years old. From then I also began giving swimming lessons to children of all ages to earn some money and gain experience.

Professionally, as soon as I was old enough, 16, I became a certified lifeguard, acquiring skills to ensure the safety of adults and children while building relationships with frequent swimmers. This was convenient as I participated on the swim team throughout high school.

From 2008 to 2014 I was an Educational Assistant with the Santa Fe Public Schools. Two of those years I had the awesome opportunity to be a one on one assistant in an autism classroom working with a first grader and the following year I was a one on one Health Assistant for another amazing first grader. The rest of the 4 years I was a Kindergarten, First Grade, Third Grade, and Fourth Grade classroom E.A. During this time I also volunteered as a swim coach for the schools I worked for. Prior, I volunteered coaching elementary swim teams sporadically from junior high up until 2014. Eventually, I was hired as the assistant swim coach for Santa Fe High School from 2013-2016. My husband and I were also lucky enough to coach Simone’s soccer teams before she played in high school.

From 2014-2016 I worked with CYFD in the Early Childhood Services Division. I started as an Administrative Assistant and within about 4 months or so I was promoted to a Data Analyst where I processed licenses for Licensed Childcare Facilities, as well as Registered Childcare Homes.

I am about 15 credits shy of receiving my Teaching Degree which has been put on hold as I have dedicated myself to our family where I have chosen to stay home to fully focus on the care of our children and household.

As a mom with two small children, I am definitely someone who appreciates convenience where I can get things done while someone I trust can keep an eye on my kiddos AND I can peek in on them anytime I want to!

Again, I am so excited for this additional accommodation Lorenzo and the team at Undisputed are providing for myself and their members! I truly hope you all take advantage of this opportunity. I am so looking forward to meeting you if I haven’t already!
